About Allison

Allison Crabb is an oboist and oboe teacher from Fort Worth, Texas. She attended school in Fort Worth ISD where she began playing oboe in high school. Quickly, she started competing at the state level in solo and ensemble contests. She then went on to earn a bachelors degree in Oboe Performance from the University of Texas at Arlington where she studied with Rogene Russell (retired principal oboist of the Dallas Opera). She then earned a masters degree in oboe performance from Texas Christian University where she studied with Elise Belk (owner of Wildflower Reeds). Most recently, she completed a Graduate Artist Certificate program at the University of North Texas, where she studied with Dr. Jung Choi. Allison currently performs with the Mesquite Symphony, the New Texas Symphony, and Symphony HEB. She is extremely passionate about helping young students to find joy in music-making and finding ways to practice useful life skills in the lesson environment.
